Chrystal Shellborn, NP

About

Chrystal Shellborn is a nurse practitioner at UPGUYS, registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba in the family (all ages) stream, and licensed with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives. She has practised as a nurse practitioner since 2011, and in nursing since 2007.

She has spent more than a decade providing rural primary care in Manitoba, often as the only primary care provider for a community, caring for patients across the lifespan in both clinic and acute care settings.

Since 2022 she has also provided complete primary care by telemedicine, by phone and video. Earlier, she practised as a nurse practitioner in the minor treatment area of a Winnipeg teaching hospital, and served as a faculty advisor in the Bachelor of Nursing program at Brandon University.

She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, where she trained as an adult acute care nurse practitioner, a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Manitoba, and a certification in hospitalist and acute care medicine from the University of Toronto. She is board-certified as an adult acute care nurse practitioner in the United States, where she also holds nursing licensure.

At UPGUYS, Chrystal assesses and prescribes for testosterone replacement therapy, erectile dysfunction, and hair loss, and consults with patients by phone and online assessment.
