Elisabeth El Assal, RPh

About

Elisabeth El Assal is a pharmacist at UPGUYS, registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists. She has practised as a pharmacist since 2017, and in Canada since 2021.

Elisabeth trained and began her career in Europe, qualifying in the United Kingdom before practising in Luxembourg, where she counselled patients in several languages, prepared medication for long-term care homes, compounded preparations such as creams, ointments and suspensions where no commercial product was available, and supervised pharmacy students and technicians.

In Canada, she has worked as a relief pharmacist in community pharmacies across Ontario and Nova Scotia. Prior to this, she worked as a Medical Information Specialist for a pharmaceutical company in Toronto. Her experience includes assessing and prescribing for minor ailments, conducting medication reviews, administering vaccinations, renewing prescriptions, performing clinical verification of prescriptions, providing evidence-based medical information, and supporting pharmacovigilance activities. She is certified in injection and immunization.

She holds a Master of Pharmacy with honours from the University of Brighton, completed the International Pharmacy Graduate Program at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto, and holds an MBA Essentials certificate from the Rotman School of Management. She counsels patients in English, French, German, Luxembourgish and Egyptian Arabic.

At UPGUYS, Elisabeth dispenses and counsels patients on testosterone replacement therapy and erectile dysfunction.
