Mark Reavy, NP

About

Mark Reavy is a nurse practitioner at UPGUYS, licensed as a family nurse practitioner with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives and registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba. He is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and has practised in nursing since 2014.

He ran his own primary care practice in British Columbia for four years, attaching patients through the province’s primary care networks and providing prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of common conditions — including preventive therapies for sexual health.

Much of his career has been in sexual and public health. He spent years as a sexual health nurse with provincial and regional public health programs, assessing, diagnosing, and treating sexually transmitted infections under BC’s certified practice designation, and worked in infection prevention and control. He also spent more than five years as a telehealth nurse on a provincial nursing line, assessing symptoms and guiding care by phone.

He began his career in acute care, including pediatric intensive care at a children’s hospital and general surgery at a Vancouver hospital.

He holds a Master of Nursing in the nurse practitioner stream from Athabasca University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and psychology from the University of British Columbia.

At UPGUYS, Mark assesses and prescribes for testosterone replacement therapy, erectile dysfunction, and hair loss, and consults with patients by phone and online assessment.
