About
Mat Rezaei is the Founder and CEO of UPGUYS and a pharmacist, registered with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia and the Ontario College of Pharmacists. He has worked in pharmacy for more than two decades.
His career has spanned much of the pharmacy industry, from importation and manufacturing to regulatory affairs, retail, and clinical practice, and included founding one of Canada’s early digital pharmacies.
In 2019 he founded UPGUYS, now Canada’s leading platform for testosterone replacement therapy and hormone optimization, serving more than 170,000 patients through two licensed Canadian pharmacies and a network of Canadian-licensed practitioners. Under his leadership, UPGUYS was ranked #8 on The Globe and Mail’s 2025 list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies, and he was named a 2026 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® Pacific Region finalist.
He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and completed the Canadian Pharmacy Practice Program at the University of British Columbia. He is a member of the British Columbia Pharmacy Association and the Canadian Pharmacists Association.
At UPGUYS, Mat leads the company and its pharmacies, focused on making men’s health care accessible and stigma-free across Canada.
