Andre Liem is the Chief Technology Officer at UPGUYS, where he leads the engineering organization responsible for building the secure digital healthcare platform that powers UPGUYS’ virtual care experience, connecting patients, healthcare practitioners, and pharmacies across Canada.

With more than 20 years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership, Andre has built and scaled digital products across healthcare, e-commerce, research, and enterprise software. He began his career developing web applications for research groups at the University of British Columbia before moving into leadership roles at Vancouver digital agencies, where he led engineering teams, product strategy, software architecture, engineering practices, and platform scalability.

Throughout his career, Andre has specialized in turning complex business challenges into reliable, scalable software. He believes that great engineering is measured not only by innovation, but by creating systems that customers trust, teams can confidently build upon, and businesses can scale over the long term.

At UPGUYS, Andre is responsible for engineering strategy, platform architecture, infrastructure, and the thoughtful adoption of emerging technologies that enhance both the patient experience and operational efficiency. He works closely with the executive team to ensure technology remains a strategic advantage as the company continues to grow across Canada.

Andre holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia.
