At UPGUYS, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) with cypionate or enanthate injections typically costs $200–$400 for a four-month supply, including the $11.99 dispensing fee. That works out to approximately $50–$100 per month. Injection supplies and additional medications are not included.
For a broader view, including insurance and provincial coverage, see our complete TRT cost guide.
Topics covered in this article:
The cost of testosterone injections depends on the prescribed medication, dose, quantity supplied, and provider. When comparing prices, check whether the amount includes dispensing fees and whether it covers medication alone or other services.
The UPGUYS price includes the prescribed testosterone cypionate or enanthate and its dispensing fee. Injection supplies are sold separately and may be purchased from UPGUYS or another supplier.
UPGUYS bills when medication is dispensed, rather than charging a monthly subscription. A typical four-month supply costs $200–$400, including dispensing. For budgeting, three four-month supplies would total approximately $600–$1,200 over a year, before separately purchased supplies, additional medications, or uninsured lab tests. Actual costs depend on your prescription and the quantity dispensed.
HCG and other medications prescribed alongside testosterone, such as anastrozole, are not included in this estimate. These are charged separately if prescribed.
The table compares published charges from selected TRT providers. Products, doses, services, and province availability differ, so these figures are not quotes for equivalent prescriptions or a ranking of the cheapest provider.
All amounts are in Canadian dollars. Monthly and annual subtotals are budgeting calculations before insurance reimbursement, not monthly subscription prices or complete treatment budgets. Read the exclusions and assumptions below the table.
Provider | Published medication charge | Consultation / programme fees | Estimated monthly subtotal | Estimated annual subtotal |
UPGUYS | $200–$400 per typical four-month supply; $11.99 dispensing fee included | $0 separate consultation, follow-up or administration fees | $50–$100 | $600–$1,200 |
Enhanced Men’s Clinic [3] | $50–$100 per 10 weeks | $170/month; blood tests $0–$300/year | $192–$238* | $2,300–$2,860* |
Essential Clinic [2] | $169.99 or $189.99 per seven-week injection supply | $49/year | $109–$122 | $1,312–$1,460 |
Jack Health [1] | $36–$120/month across formulations; injection-only pricing is not separated | $110 initially; $110 every three months depending on treatment | $73–$157* | $872–$1,880* |
A year uses 12 months or 52 weeks; the monthly estimate is the annual subtotal divided by 12. Figures are rounded to the nearest dollar. Actual payments depend on refill timing, quantity dispensed and your prescription. Unpublished fees are unknown, not zero. Supplies and additional medications are excluded from every subtotal.
UPGUYS: Three typical four-month supplies give $600–$1,200 annually. Dispensing and standard delivery are included. Uninsured lab tests and optional expedited delivery are extra.
Jack Health*: Assumes four $110 care charges plus 12 months of medication; stated biomarker testing and shipping are included. Dispensing and supplies are unconfirmed. Its page also gives a lower bundled example, so confirm your plan. A $40 visit fee applies when using an outside pharmacy [4] and is excluded here.
Essential Clinic: Uses its detailed injection prices, not the general “from $67/month” FAQ. The seven-week prices cover 0.5 mL or 1 mL weekly of 100 mg/mL testosterone. No extra dispensing fee; shipping is included. Supplies and uninsured tests are excluded.
Enhanced Men’s Clinic*: Uses 12 subscription payments, 5.2 ten-week medication supplies, and $0–$300 for labs. The page also advertises roughly $176/month combined; that conflicts with its itemized charges. Supplies ($50/year if needed), dispensing and shipping are excluded; the latter two are unconfirmed. Your prescription determines how much medication you need and how long each supply lasts. The main factors affecting cost are:
1. Prescribed dose and quantity: The total amount of testosterone prescribed affects how much medication you need. Dividing the same weekly dose into more frequent injections does not, by itself, increase the amount of testosterone used.
2. Self-injection or clinic administration: If a healthcare professional administers your injections, ask whether there is a separate appointment or administration charge.
3. Formulation and pharmacy pricing: Compare the prescribed formulation, concentration, vial size, and days supplied, along with any dispensing fee. The price of one vial does not show the cost of a month of treatment.
Your insurance plan may reimburse some or all of your prescription cost, depending on the medication and your coverage. UPGUYS does not directly bill insurance. We provide an official pharmacy receipt that you can use to submit a claim. Check eligibility and reimbursement with your insurer.
In Ontario, certain injectable testosterone products are listed as Limited Use in the Ontario Drug Benefit Formulary. Public drug plan coverage for testosterone differs by province. This province-by-province coverage table shows which plans list it and who qualifies. Listing does not guarantee coverage for every patient.
The $200–$400 estimate covers a typical four-month supply of testosterone cypionate or enanthate, including its dispensing fee. The following costs are separate:
UPGUYS also offers topical and oral testosterone treatments. Their pricing depends on the prescribed product and dose; the injection estimate in this article should not be used as an estimate for oral testosterone. For a broader overview, see our TRT cost guide.
UPGUYS offers low testosterone assessment and treatment in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. Treatment is prescribed only when a licensed practitioner determines it is appropriate.
UPGUYS connects you with a licensed practitioner who reviews your symptoms, medical history, and lab results. If treatment is appropriate, a prescription is issued and the pharmacy dispenses your medication.
There are no separate charges for practitioner consultations, follow-up appointments, lab requisitions, or standard medication delivery. Medication is charged when dispensed. Injection supplies, additional medications, and uninsured lab tests are separate.
UPGUYS does not charge for lab requisitions. Most tests are insured in most provinces, but some tests may carry a separate laboratory charge depending on your province and the tests ordered.
UPGUYS offers injectable, topical or oral forms of TRT. Your doctor will help determine which method fits your needs and lifestyle best.
