William Wan, RPh

About

William Wan is a pharmacist at UPGUYS, registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists. He has practised as a pharmacist in Ontario since 2011.

William began his career in community pharmacy in Ontario, working in high-volume settings across the full scope of practice: medication reviews, prescription adaptations and renewals, pharmaceutical opinions, and immunization. He ran diabetes clinics covering A1C testing and glucose monitor education, and precepted University of Toronto pharmacy students for three years.

He later moved into long-term care pharmacy, conducting full therapeutic reviews of medication orders for nursing and retirement homes and making clinical recommendations to nursing teams and physicians on drug interactions, lab values, and the management of adverse effects. He worked closely with provincial drug benefit coverage, applying formulary and limited-use criteria to therapy recommendations. He is certified to administer injections.

He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy and an Honours Bachelor of Science, both from the University of Toronto.

At UPGUYS, William dispenses and counsels patients on testosterone replacement therapy and erectile dysfunction, by phone and secure message.
